Joanne lives on the north coast, about three miles inland, surrounded by old sycamore trees, blackthorn hedges and lots of healthy weeds. Crows, jackdaws, wood pigeons, starlings and blackbirds announce each new day and in the evening, starling murmurations dance in the red sky. Joanne’s art practice is steeped in this magical landscape, little rivulets of paint and blobs of something unknown reflect the otherworldly undergrowth and life in this ancient landscape
